    School Safety Parent Survey

The CPS School Safety Team has met several times this year to discuss the safety and climate in Carlstadt. Parents, please participate in a short anonymous survey.  The purpose of the survey is to gain an understanding of how parents feel about the school environment as a means to improve student relationships, learning conditions, and the school’s overall safety. The information collected will assist our School Safety Team with making decisions regarding the climate at the Carlstadt Public School. Results will also determine the training and support needed to improve school climate and safety. Thank you for your participation.

  • Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to the Carlstadt Public School website. The 2016-2017 school year will be starting for all students on September 6, 2016. Many changes to the facility have taken place since moving into the new Carlstadt Public School in April 2007.  The Mattie J.T Stepanek Park located on the north side of the building was completed in June of 2009. This area developed in conjuction with the Boro has added a new dimension to the area and has been consistently utilized by the town's residents and students. Totland located in the front of the school is fully operational and is utilized daily and on the weekends by the students and children of Carlstadt. This area continues to afford the younger students an area to play and exercise.  Additional fencing, cameras and lighting have been placed in specific areas to further assist with safety.

Occupying the new school in April 2007 provided an opportunity for the staff and students to become acquainted with the state of the art facility and to begin experiencing all the educational benefits it has to offer. Housing our staff and students in one building allows for an educationally efficient organization, schedule, and daily function. One of our continued goals for this year is to utilize, as fully as possible, all rooms and technological enhancements available.

For parents/guardians, we remind you of the arrival and dismissal times during the 2016-2017 school year.
