Superintendent's Message

To All Carlstadt Families:

Welcome to the Carlstadt Public School website.  The 2012-2013 school year will be ending in a few short weeks.  Many changes to the facility have taken place in the last few years.  The Mattie J.T Stepanek Park located on the north side of the building was completed in June of 2009.  This area developed in conjuction with the Boro has added a new dimension to the area and has been consistently utilized by the town's residents and students.  Totland is fully operational and is utilized daily and on the weekends by the students and children of Carlstadt. This area continues to afford the younger students an area to play and excercise.  Additional fencing, cameras and lighting have been placed in specific areas to further assist with safety. The TV studio is up and running and the middle school students have become familiar with the equipment and tv production. The main office renovation that took place during the summer of 2011 has greatly added to the security of the building and has also assisted with the overall flow entering the building.

Occupying the new school in April 2007 provided an opportunity for the staff and students to become acquainted with the state of the art facility and to begin experiencing all the educational benefits it has to offer. Housing our staff all in one building allows for an educationally efficient organization, schedule, and daily function. One of our major goals for this year is to utilize, as fully as possible, all rooms and technological enhancements available.

It is my pleasure to serve the Carlstadt School District as its Superintendent of Schools.

For parents/guardians, we remind you of the arrival and dismissal times during the 2012-2013 school year.

Sincerely,

Stephen M. Kollinok
